On November 6, 2016 Dreams Society member, Mohamed Al Maraj traveled to New York to represent the charity at the New York City International Marathon, with the aim of creating awareness of its activities and raising funds. The New York City International Marathon is considered the largest in the world with 52,000 runners participating on average. The campaign, “Runnings for Dreams” was launched on social media a week before the marathon, utilizing an online payment system to receive funds from donors. The campaign successfully raised BD 10, 139.
